PM Modi's Jharkhand visit: roadshow and project launches set for two-day tour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to embark on a two-day visit to Jharkhand, commencing with his arrival at Birsa Munda Airport, where Governor C P Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Hemant Soren will extend their welcome. A 10-km-long roadshow from the airport to Raj Bhavan is planned for the evening.

On the second day, PM Modi will inaugurate a ₹24,000 crore project aimed at the development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) on 'Janjatiya Gaurav Divas.' Additionally, he will launch the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,' release the 15th instalment of ₹18,000 crore under the PM-KISAN scheme, and inaugurate projects worth ₹7,200 crore in various sectors.

During the visit, PM Modi is set to visit Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park-cum-Freedom Fighter Museum in Ranchi and pay floral tributes to freedom fighter Birsa Munda at his birthplace, Ulihatu village in Khunti district. This marks the first visit by a Prime Minister to Ulihatu.

The focus of the visit includes launching initiatives like 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' and 'Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups Mission' to provide welfare benefits to PVTG habitations. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate projects in rail, road, education, coal, petroleum, and natural gas sectors, including the new campus of IIM Ranchi and a new hostel of IIT-ISM Dhanbad.
